WF_Klima- und Energiemodellierung
This course aims to provide students with a fundamental understanding of environmental modelling methods to demonstrate the relationship between the built environment, the consumption of natural resources, environmental impacts and user comfort.
Students develop knowledge of environmental modelling and building simulation tools (Rhino/Grasshopper) to evaluate the energy and resource consumption of buildings, material properties, thermal performance, daylight and user comfort to quantify the quality of indoor spaces. Students apply their knowledge by evaluating an architectural design and develop analytical and design skills to propose alternative solutions for carbon neutrality in the built environment.
